Amoura is a word for “love” in many languages and it is a fitting phrase for this dining destination dedicated to providing Mediterranean fare with a modern twist. Amoura Restaurant, owned by the Shihadeh family and located in the heart of South San Francisco, brings contemporary fare to the Bay Area.
Culinary talents, Chef Joshua Dixon and Chef Israel Navarro offer an exciting interpretation of classic favorites and unique dishes, all reflecting the spirit and flavors of the Mediterranean. Working with purveyors including BN Ranch, Water2Table and County Line Harvest, Amoura takes pride in sourcing local and organic ingredients and showcasing them throughout the menu. The team believes in cultivating relationships with farmers to put forth a thoughtful menu with a variety of fresh, hand-picked ingredients that guests can look forward to.
The beverage program highlights a savory and sweet craft cocktail menu, as well as, a wine program focusing on wines all produced from vineyards that touch the Mediterranean Sea in addition to local California favorites. The spirits list features a wide variety of Single Malt Scotch, Mezcal and what we believe to be the largest selection of Arak anywhere.
Additionally, the restaurant features an open kitchen, complete with an in-house pita oven and rotisserie. The sophisticated yet approachable venue showcases light golden tones and airy touches, making it the perfect backdrop for a business lunch or intimate evening.
